The Capital One Orange Bowl is officially set. As announced on Sunday afternoon, the ACC champion Clemson Tigers and head coach Dabo Swinney will host Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers on Friday, Dec. 30, in Miami, FL.
Both Tennessee and Clemson ended the regular season with a record of 10-2, although, Clemson did find a sound 39-10 win over North Carolina in their conference championship game on Saturday night.
Just a few hours after the teams were announced, the Orange Bowl hosted both head coaches for a virtual press conference.
Heupel went first and hit several topics in the span of 10-15 minutes answering questions from the media. The second-year Tennessee head coach spoke about his excitement to get down to Miami with the team and his previous experiences as a National Championship-winning player in the Orange Bowl. Heupel also spoke about some internal things around the program such as his thoughts on Alex Golesh taking the South Florida job, who he expects to opt-in/out for the bowl game, and much more!
