Four-star combo guard Braelon Green released his top five on Wednesday afternoon, including Tennessee in his top group.

Tennessee is amongst an impressive group of basketball programs including Arizona State, Michigan State, Texas and Kansas in the combo guards top five.
Green is a consensus four-star recruit in the 2023 class, ranking as the No. 59 player and No. 8 combo guard in the 247sports composite rankings and as the No. 48 player and No. 8 shooting guard in the country according to the On3 consensus rankings.

Green is a Southfield, Michigan native but plays his prep basketball at Dream City Christian Academy in Glendale, Arizona.
Southfield is just an hour from East Lansing and Michigan State and the Spartans are viewed as the leader in Green’s recruitment by both 247sports and On3. The 6-foot-3 versatile guard has taken three visits to Michigan State since the NCAA opened up on campus recruiting visits last June.
Arizona State — which is 38 miles from Dream City Christian — is the only other school to earn a visit from the four-star guard.
Tennessee currently holds two commitments in the class of 2023 including four-star Alabama power forward Cade Phillips and New York big man Tobe Awaka. However, Tennessee currently doesn’t hold a commitment from a guard and as the last two years have shown us there will be an abundance of roster turnover every offseason in the age of the transfer portal.
The Vols are in the top group for five-star wing Justin Edwards and the Philadelphia native is one of Tennessee’s top targets in the 2023 class.
