A former Tennessee transfer quarterback is reportedly working out in a tryout for the Tennessee Titans on Friday. According to a tweet from Outkick’s Paul Kuharsky on Friday, former Tennessee quarterback Quinten Dormady is working out for the Titans today.
In addition to Dormady, the Titans are also hosting former Tennessee defensive back Kenneth George for a tryout on Friday.
According to the tweet, the Titans are also trying out wide receivers De’Vion Warren, Bryce Nunnelly, and Donnell Williams, along with outside linebacker Chris Rice and long snapper Sean Mills.
Titans’ head coach Mike Vrabel will be overseeing the tryout.

Kenneth George, a former four-year player at Tennessee from Lafayette, Lousiana, was one of nine participants in Tennessee’s Pro Day on Mar. 30. While the sharp defensive back was not drafted during the 2022 NFL Draft, the speed that George put on display at the pro day is a quality trait for an NFL roster.
Prior to joining Tennessee, George spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas. George arrived at Tennessee in 2018 as a redshirt sophomore but suffered a season-ending injury just four games into the season.
George’s most productive season, arguably, was in 2019 when the redshirt-junior defensive back played in all 13 games for Tennessee registering 19 tackles and one interception. The 5-foot-11 defensive back continued to see action during the shortened 2020 season appearing in eight games with four starts.
Kenneth George did fall behind in the depth chart during the 2021 season but still had some productive moments against Alabama, Missouri, Tennessee Tech, and Bowling Green.
The other former Tennessee player that is working out for the Titans today is former Central Michigan quarterback Quinten Dormady.
As a four-star recruit from Boerne, Texas in the class of 2015, Dormady committed to Tennessee and arrived in Knoxville in January of 2015 as an early enrollee. The true freshman did see action as well with six games played including the Outback Bowl against Northwestern. Dormady finished his freshman season with 209 yards and one touchdown.
Dormady was behind Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs for his first two years of college and saw less action in his second year to the tune of only four games played.
After Dobbs moved onto the NFL following the 2016 season, the quarterback position was between two players: Quinten Dormady and Jarrett Guarantano.
Dormady was Tennessee’s starting quarterback for the first game of the season against Georgia Tech in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game, throwing for 221 yards and two touchdowns on 37 attempts. In Tennessee’s next game against Indiana State, Dormady was still the starter but Guarantano also saw his first action of the year as well.
Dormady and Gurantano continued to share reps throughout the beginning of the season with Dormady starting the game and Guarantano coming in near the end. However, after suffering a season-ending injury against Georgia in the fifth game of the year, Dormady’s season and career at Tennessee were officially over.
The three-year Tennessee quarterback entered the transfer portal after the 2017 season and wound up transferring to Houston and taking a redshirt for one year.
After his one redshirt season in Houston, though, Dormady would then transfer to Central Michigan for the final season of his collegiate career in 2019. The former Tennessee Volunteer and Houston Cougar started all 10 of Central Michigan’s games and finished the year with his best collegiate statistics: 64.6 percent passing, 2,312 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
As both Quinten Dormady and Kenneth George continue to work on their crafts, both are reportedly trying out in a workout for the Tennessee Titans on Friday.
