Vanderbilt is 2-9 (0-7 SEC) heading into the instate rivalry matchup. The Commodores fell to Ole Miss 31-17 on Saturday in the third closest game Vanderbilt has played against an SEC team.

However, first year head coach Clark Lea seems to have found something in backup quarterback Mike Wright. The sophomore threw for 241 yards and threw for 61 yards in his first start of the season.

Vanderbilt is 5-6 against the spread this season and 4-3 SEC against the spread in SEC games.

Tennessee is coming off its second 60-point performance of the season as the Vols clinched bowl eligibility with a 60-14 win over South Alabama. With starting quarterback Hendon Hooker in the game, the Vols scored touchdowns on eight of nine drives. Their lone drive without a touchdown came on a one play, 12 second drive at the end of the first half.

The Vols are 5-6 against the spread this season and 3-4 in SEC games.

A win over the Commodores would give Tennessee just its fifth seven plus win regular season since 2007.

Tennessee and Vanderbilt kick off from Neyland Stadium at 3:45 p.m. ET Saturday. The SEC Network will broadcast the game.
