Tennessee and Georgia’s week 11 matchup at Neyland Stadium will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET. CBS will broadcast the game.
This is the first time in the Josh Heupel era that Tennessee will play in the CBS SEC Game of the Week.
The Vols are looking to break a four-game losing streak to their SEC East rival when the No. 1 Bulldogs come to Knoxville. Tennessee hasn’t beaten Georgia since Kirby Smart’s first season in Athens when Josh Hobbs’ Hail Mary to Jauan Jennings stole a signature win for the first year coach.
This season, Georgia is in the midst of a dominant run. The Bulldogs are 8-0 (6-0 SEC) and have played just one game — Clemson — that was decided by two scores or less.
Georgia’s defense has been dominant this season, allowing just 6.6 points per game. That mark is the best in the SEC with the conference’s second best defense — Texas A&M — giving up 16.1 points per game.
The Bulldogs also rank first in the conference in rushing yards and passing yards allowed.
Georgia faces Missouri at home this week before traveling to Knoxville for its SEC finale against Tennessee.
Tennessee is currently 4-4 (2-3 SEC) with a pivotal matchup at No. 18 Kentucky coming before the Vols’ showdown with No. 1 Georgia.
