Tennessee’s week eight matchup at Alabama is set for a 7 p.m. kick off and ESPN will broadcast the rivalry game.
CBS has broadcasted three of the last four games between the two schools with ESPN broadcasting the 2019 game in Tuscaloosa.
Josh Heupel and his first Tennessee team will take the field on the fourth, not third, Saturday in October against the Crimson Tide in just two weeks. The matchup also serves as Alabama’s homecoming game.
Alabama is currently 5-1 (1-1 SEC) after suffering an upset loss at Texas A&M this past weekend. The Crimson Tide are looking to get back on track this weekend when they travel to Starkville to face Mississippi State.
Tennessee is currently 4-2 (2-1 SEC) in Heupel’s first season. The Vols’ offense is impressing, totaling 107 points the last two weeks in wins over Missouri and South Carolina.
The Vols are looking to keep their recent success rolling this week when they host Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss to Neyland Stadium. Tennessee opened as slight underdogs against the Rebels and Vegas expects plenty of points between the nation’s two fastest offenses.
Tennessee is looking for its first win over Alabama since 2006 and its first win in Tuscaloosa since 2003 when they travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium next week.
Other top SEC games in week eight include LSU at Ole Miss on CBS at 3:30 p.m. ET and South Carolina at Texas A&M at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
