Tennessee earned its second straight SEC win Saturday, jumping out to a 35-0 lead over South Carolina before coasting to a 45-20 win.

The Vols scored 28 points in the first quarter for the second straight week. Unlike last week at Missouri where Tennessee did whatever it wanted to on the ground, the Vols moved the ball mostly through the air.

Hendon Hooker threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, throwing just three incompletions in the process.

Tennessee’s offense went stagnant in the second half, totaling less than 100 yards and not crossing midfield in the third quarter.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel discussed the fast start, shaky second half, Al Wilson and much more in his postgame press conference.
