Tennessee is under an hour from kick off against South Carolina as Josh Heupel’s team looks for its second straight SEC win.

The Vols will have to do it without five players and two starters as Elijah Simmons, Juwan Mitchell, Christian Charles, Jaylen Wright and Kingston Harris are unavailable for Saturday’s game.

Running back Jabari Small, who exited last week’s game with a shoulder injury, is available for Tennessee today. That gives the Vols their full three-headed monster out of the backfield in Small, Tiyon Evans and quarterback Hendon Hooker.

Mitchell is out for the second straight week after being ruled out in last week’s win at Missouri. Aaron Beasley will start beside Jeremy Banks.

Simmons is out after suffering an injury last week at Missouri. A number of Vols including La’Trell Bumphus, Omari Thomas and Da’Jon Terry could start in the massive defensive tackles absence.

Charles is a blow to Tennessee’s secondary depth after the freshman made his first career start last week.

Safety Trevon Flowers is available against South Carolina after missing last week’s matchup.
