- South Carolina’s leading tackler from a season ago missed the final couple weeks of walkthroughs in early August and missed several weeks this preseason after having his appendix removed. Jones returned to full contact practice a week ago and looks to be ready to start the season-opener against Tennessee. He’s the captain of the defense and a key piece to what South Carolina does on that side of the ball.
- RB MarShawn Lloyd, Fr. (OUT)
- Lloyd, who was set to start at running back for the Gamecocks as a true freshman, tore his ACL the first week of fall camp.
- RB Zaquandre White, R-Jr. (Probable)
