With the announcement today that the University of Tennessee and Appalachian State have agreed on a game in Neyland Stadium in 2016, the Vols’ schedule for that season is beginning to take shape. Currently, the only game with a set date in 2016 is Tennessee’s matchup with Virginia Tech in The Battle at Bristol on Saturday, September 10th. Now that all of the opponents are in place, however, it should only be a matter of time before the official schedule is released.
Outside of the matchup with Virginia Tech, the remaining opponents on Tennessee’s 2016 schedule are as follows:

Next year’s schedule is also nearing finalization, as all of next year’s opponents for Tennessee have been selected. Three 2015 games have already been given set dates while the remaining nine are still awaiting confirmation.
