Tennessee’s coaches continue to scour the country for more targets in the 2021 recruiting cycle before the dead period descends upon the recruiting trail in February. This week, the Vols have offered several prospects, including a four-star defensive tackle out of Virginia.
Tyleik Williams is a 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman who plays for Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, Virginia. He picked up an offer from Tennessee this week, adding to his already extensive list of potential collegiate suitors.

Per the 247Sports Composite rankings, Williams is the No. 204 overall prospect and No. 16 defensive tackle in the 2021 class. He already holds offers from Florida, Michigan, Penn State, South Carolina, Kentucky, and many others.
At a regional camp for Nike’s The Opening back in May of last year, Williams ran a 5.11-second 40-yard dash and a 4.59-second shuttle time. He also recorded a 29-inch vertical leap.
Williams has been making a lot of trips this winter, swinging by three North Carolina schools last weekend, and he’ll be visiting Alabama this upcoming weekend. Back on January 6th, Williams released a top 10 for his recruitment that consisted of Florida, Penn State, Michigan, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, North Carolina, Purdue, Virginia, Maryland, and Duke. Since then, though, he’s added offers from Temple, NC State, UMass, and Tennessee in that order. Alabama has also been showing a lot of interest in him, and an offer could come this weekend while he’s on his visit.
The athletic defensive lineman is strong at the point of attack, and he has long arms that he uses to his advantage. He’s good at block shedding and has some versatility, sometimes lining up as a defensive end rather than a defensive tackle. Williams moves well for his size and gets to the backfield with ease, even when facing double teams. He’s a very effective run stopper.
As a junior, Williams totaled 47 tackles and 3.5 sacks. He was named a First Team All-State defensive lineman for Class 6A this past season. He also plays offensive line for Stonewall.
Tennessee currently has five players committed to them in their 2021 class, including one defensive tackle. Three-star defensive tackle Isaac Washington announced his commitment to the Vols last Saturday during a visit to campus.
