Video: Santiago Vescovi Discusses His Vol Debut

Tennessee’s men’s basketball team got a boost to their roster last weekend when four-star point guard Santiago Vescovi officially joined the team. On Saturday, he made his debut on the court just one week after joining the team for practices.

On Friday afternoon, Tennessee announced that the NCAA had officially cleared Vescovi to play, and head coach Rick Barnes inserted him into the lineup right away. Vescovi earned the start at point guard in his first career game as a Vol, playing 31 minutes and totaling 18 points, six rebounds, four assists, and nine turnovers in the Vols’ 78-64 loss to LSU in their SEC opener.

After the game, Vescovi broke down his Tennessee debut, discussing his play, performing in front of the largest crowd he’s ever played in front of, the chemistry with his teammates, and much more.
