The first day of the early signing period for the 2020 class was a good one for the Vols.
Tennessee picked up signatures from 21 recruits on Wednesday, hauling in the bulk of what will eventually be the Vols’ full 2020 signing class. UT got signatures from 16 of their 18 commits and added five new players to their class in the process.
After all the signatures had been finalized, Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt met with the media to discuss his third early signing period class at Tennessee.
Last year was the first time Pruitt and his staff really had a chance to construct a full early signing class, and this year marked the second time Pruitt was able to take full advantage of the December signing period. The results? A consensus top-15 signing class with room to add more.
Pruitt discussed all 21 of the Vols’ signees, the impact of running backs coach David Johnson on this class, recruiting Memphis and the state of Tennessee in general, and much more.
