Tennessee signed 19 players during the early signing period last week. Assuming the Vols only take around 23 or 24 players in this 2019 cycle, then UT has already secured somewhere around 80 percent of their 2019 class.
The Vols’ coaching staff did a good job of addressing a lot of Tennessee’s needs with their early signing period, but they still have a few more holes left to fill with the few remaining spots in their 2019 class. Between now and National Signing Day in February, Tennessee’s coaches will try to get some more players to sign on with the Vols to shore up those remaining deficiencies.
In their early signing class, the Vols signed one quarterback, one running back, two receivers, two tight ends, four offensive linemen, four projected defensive linemen, two cornerbacks, a safety, and two athletes (one projects as a safety and another projects as a linebacker).
With that in mind, here are the biggest positions of need remaining in Tennessee’s 2019 recruiting class.
