In this episode of the RTI Podcast, managing editor Nathanael Rutherford and staff writer Ben McKee discuss why the sky isn’t falling in Tennessee’s search for an offensive coordinator. There seems to be a growing sentiment that Jeremy Pruitt and Phillip Fulmer will botch this offensive coordinator hire, but is that fair? Plus, is Tennessee actually 95 percent of the way to hiring a new OC? They also give a preview of Tennessee’s early signing period plans in recruiting and look at some of the Vols’ main targets heading into next week.

Will Friend would be a horrible choice. If he were to be promoted it would just say that they blew the whole search and just stuck someone. Fill the job. If he was the best choice it would have happened the day after heltom left.
Personally i feel we have dragged this out so long we wasted an early chance to make a big hire. We let all the good choices go to other teams abd as usual settled for what was left.
