There’s been a lot of discussion about Tennessee’s quarterbacks during the 2018 season. So we sat down with someone who’s had experience with the Vols’ starting quarterback before he came to Tennessee and asked him about Tennessee’s quarterback room.
Tom George is a quarterbacks coach and instructor for the QB Impact Academy. He’s been a quarterback coach in the state of Florida for the past eight years, and as Passing Coordinator, he took Clay High School to the Florida 5A State title game in 2013 and led the State of Florida in offense. He’s assisted college camps with QB development at the University of Florida, Florida State, and Ohio State University, and he’s also coached in multiple All-American games including the Shrine Bowl and the Florida-Georgia All-American game.
RTI contributor Aby Goodman interviewed Tom George about Tennessee’s quarterback situation. Coach George had worked with Jarrett Guarantano before he came to UT, and he offered his insight on what Guarantano was like in high school, what kind of development he’s seen from Tennessee’s starting QB, what Guarantano does best and still needs to work on, and much more.
