Only four Vols were invited to the NFL Combine earlier this offseason. But there were plenty of other Vols at Tennessee’s Pro Day on Monday of this week, and there were a few players who caught the attention of NFL scouts who were there in attendance.
According to Gil Brandt, the former VP of player personnel for the Dallas Cowboys and now a senior analyst for NFL.com, there are three Vols who are now on the radars on NFL teams thanks to their Pro Day performances.

Moseley started 30 games in his Tennessee career and played extensively during his true freshman season and onward. He appeared in 51 total games in his four-year career and totaled 142 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and 31 passes defended. He was known for his blazing speed (which Brandt points out in his tweet) and for his dramatic transformation from his freshman season. Moseley gained somewhere around 40 pounds in a two-year span after joining Tennessee.
Colton Jumper began his Tennessee career as a walk-on and eventually earned a scholarship. He made 17 starts, including seven each of the last two seasons, and played in 39 games at middle linebacker for the Vols. He made 127 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, forced a fumble, picked off a pass, and broke up three passes.
Ethan Wolf is scattered across Tennessee’s record books for his performance as a tight end over the last four years. Wolf finished his Vol career second all-time in receptions by a tight end and third all-time in receiving yards by a tight end. Wolf started 47 of the 50 games he played for the Vols, and he caught 91 passes for 998 yards and seven scores.
Time will tell if any of the three Vols who Brandt mentioned impressed scouts enough to improve their stock to vault them into the NFL draft. Right now, most draft analysts are only predicting three Vols, running back John Kelly, defensive back Rashaan Gaulden, and defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie, will be drafted.
Can Moseley, Jumper, or Wolf sneak their way into one of the later rounds of the draft? We’ll see come April.
