Tennessee’s coaches, including head coach Jeremy Pruitt, traveled on Monday and made some in-home visits to some of the Vols’ top remaining targets in the 2018 class.
One of the highest-rated remaining targets on Tennessee’s board is cornerback Olaijah Griffin. The Vols have been making a push for Griffin since Pruitt took over as head coach, and the Vols have made significant progress with him. Griffin was just bumped up to a five-star in the updated 247Sports Composite rankings, and he’s now the No. 25 overall player and No. 3 corner in the class.
Jeremy Pruitt himself and cornerbacks coach Terry Fair paid a visit to Griffin over in California on Monday night. Assistant Brian Niedermeyer was also with Pruitt and Fair.

Meanwhile down in Florida, several other Vol coaches were visiting some top prospects in the 2018 class.
Tennessee’s offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Tyson Helton and new wide receivers coach David Johnson paid a visit to highly-rated wide receiver Jacob Copeland. The four-star receiver has been high on the Vols as soon as they hired Pruitt as head coach. The No. 11 receiver in the 2018 class (according to the 247Sports Composite rankings) visited the Vols on December 15th and has visits planned for Alabama and Florida upcoming.

Another Vol coach was inside the borders of Florida as well, and that was running backs coach Robert Gillespie. He was visiting four-star running back Jashaun Corbin who is once again an uncommitted prospect.

Corbin was once verbally committed to the Vols. but that was short-lived. He committed to Tennessee on April 21st after visiting during the Orange and White Game, but then he decommitted on May 16th. He then committed to Florida State just a few days later, and he stayed committed to the Seminoles until December 3rd after Florida State made a coaching change.
Now Corbin’s recruitment is wide open again, and he’s picked up several offers in the meantime. TCU, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Texas have all offered him since he decommitted, and he plans to visit the Aggies this upcoming weekend. The 247Sports Composite rankings have him listed as the No. 6 all-purpose running back in the 2018 class and the No. 246 overall player in the country.
