The Vols got some good news when two of their top targets released their list of schools they’ll be considering in their recruitment. Tennessee made the cut for both of them, and they’re both four-star prospects.
Joshua Moore, a four-star wide receiver/cornerback in the 2018 class and Jaylen McCollough, a four-star safety in the 2019 class, both listed the Vols as one of their top remaining schools moving forward in their recruitment. Moore only has a few weeks left in his, but McCollough still has a full cycle ahead of him. But he’s narrowed down his list to a small handful of programs, and the Vols made that list.
Moore is being looked at as both a receiver and corner, and it’s believed the Vols will be looking to play him at corner, though Moore is plenty capable of playing receiver too. He’s listed as the No. 87 overall player in the 2018 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and he’s the 16th-best wide receiver in the class. The 6-foot-1, 170 athlete out of Texas released his final top five schools, and Tennessee made the cut.

As a senior, Moore caught 28 passes for 431 yards and scored seven times. He also had 36 carries for 492 yards and six touchdowns according to Max Preps. His twin brother is an early signee with Texas A&M.
McCollough is a big bodied safety in the 2019 class out of Georgia. He’s rated as the No. 59 overall player and No. 4 safety in the 2019 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and he narrowed down his list to seven different schools. The Vols made the list, as did four other SEC schools.

Moore is expected to announce his college decision on National Signing Day on February 7th. It’s unclear when McCollough plans on committing to a school.
