For the first few weeks of Tennessee’s search for a head coach, the Vols’ fan base was a little obsessive over one man: Jon Gruden. But as the search went on and no real news emerged regarding Gruden, Vol fans began to move on and move away from the “Grumors.”
But those “Grumors” got brought up one more time, and this time it was from his Monday Night Football co-host, Sean McDonough.
During the Monday Night Football match-up between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, the University of Tennessee was brought up, and McDonough decided to take a jab at Gruden. The video was captured by Marshall Hughes, the sports director for WATE 6 in Knoxville.
Sean McDonough speaking to Jon Gruden on Monday Night Football about the Tennessee coaching search: “well if you had just answered the call and said yes, you could have saved them an awful lot of trouble there on Rocky Top.” pic.twitter.com/14OGgtnMQf

Tennessee’s search for a head coach continues on, but it’s believed that Gruden is no longer a candidate and hasn’t actually been a serious candidate from the start for the Vols.
As far as actual candidates go, we have a list of coaches who we think Phillip Fulmer is looking at as he continues to search for the Vols’ next head football coach.
