If you were to read the headline of this article to someone in the 1990s, they would be thoroughly confused and perplexed. Yet here we are in the waning weeks of 2017, and Phillip Fulmer not only is back in a position of power with Tennessee, but he’s also tweeting.
Fulmer was announced as Tennessee’s athletics director on Friday, and he’s quickly embraced the role and done everything he can in just a short amount of time to try and rebuild some fractured relationships at UT. He sent out letters to every letterman and current UT student-athlete within the first 24 hours of being on the job, and today he tweeted out a video that UT’s creative department put together.
In the video, you can hear some of Fulmer’s quotes from his press conference on Friday, and then a cover version of The Beatles’ “Come Together” is played over highlights from many different eras of Tennessee football.
