In light of Jalen Hurd recently receiving 66/1 Heisman odds from Bovada and Joshua Dobbs coming in at 20/1 earlier in the offseason from 5dimes, I decided to look at the top 10 Heisman contenders from the SEC and where, or if, those UT players legitimately fit in.
Not that Dobbs or Hurd are top-tier candidates nationally at this point, but it is exciting for Tennessee fans to have players at least in the conversation for the first time in years. As many know, Tennessee is considered one of the best programs in the nation to never have produced a Heisman player, despite some close calls with Peyton Manning, Johnny Majors and others.
