Tennessee is looking to flip a transfer portal cornerback from his previous commitment.
According to a report from Yahoo Sports/Rivals’ Woody Wommack on Wednesday afternoon, Tennessee is set to host cornerback Kyndrich Breedlove for a visit to Knoxville on Thursday.
Breedlove began his career at Ole Miss in 2021 and 2022 before transferring to Colorado for the 2023 season. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound cornerback then transferred to Purdue for the 2024 season.
Breedlove entered the portal after one season with the Boilermakers in early December and committed to Arizona State on Monday but still appears to be keeping some options open. Breedlove has one season of eligibility remaining.
Despite recently announcing a commitment to Arizona State, I’m told transfer DB Kyndrich Breedlove will be visiting Tennessee tomorrow.

The Nashville native will reportedly return to his home state for a visit with Josh Heupel’s program on Thursday.
Breedlove was a three-star prospect out of Pearl-Cohn in Nashville in the 2021 recruiting class. 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings tagged Breedlove as the No. 413 player overall, the No. 27 athlete in the class, and the No. 12 player from the state of Tennessee.
In two seasons at Ole Miss, Breedlove appeared in 10 games, primarily in a special teams role. Breedlove played in nine games during his freshman season but saw his workload shrink to just one game in his second season. Breedlove was on the roster when Ole Miss played Tennessee in Knoxville in 2021 but did not appear in the game.
Breedlove saw his first true action during his redshirt sophomore season at Colorado, recording 12 tackles and one tackle for loss in nine games. Breedlove played behind future Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter during his lone season in Boulder.
Breedlove played in all 12 Purdue football games this past season and tallied 40 tackles, two tackles for loss, four pass breakups, and three interceptions. The Nashville native entered the transfer portal on Dec. 10 before seemingly withdrawing his name on New Year’s Eve. Still, though, Breedlove remained in the portal and committed to Arizona State on Jan. 13. Breedlove appears to be keeping his options open despite the commitment.
In his career, Breedlove has 53 total tackles, four pass deflections, one forced fumble, and three interceptions.
Tennessee has landed two commitments out of the portal this offseason with former Arizona offensive lineman Wendell Moe Jr. and former Alabama wide receiver Amari Jefferson.
