Tennessee quarterback commit Faizon Brandon continues to soar on the high school recruiting scene.
Brandon competed in the Navy All-American Bowl Combine this past weekend and showed out in front of scouts and analysts, alike.
The 6-foot-4, 191-pound quarterback is a consensus five-star prospect and the No. 1 quarterback in the class. Brandon committed to Tennessee back in August to give the Vols a truly elite centerpiece to build the class around.
While participating in the All-American Bowl Combine, Brandon’s game stuck out to the folks on the ground in San Antonio. Rivals’ national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman raved about Brandon’s performance at the combine as he named the Tennessee quarterback commit the top performer from the stacked event.
“Brandon was sharp from start to finish,” Spiegelman wrote for Rivals. “The elite passer was spectacular blending throws with touch and with zip, and served up some outstanding throws along the sidelines, in traffic and downfield during competition. The deep-ball accuracy and ease throwing in the middle of the field were second to none.”

Brandon is in the conversation for 2026’s top overall prospect and has already claimed that honor on 247 Sports. The publication named Brandon its “Alpha Dog of the Navy National Combine” after his showing over the weekend, too.
The traits that Spiegelman mentioned in his evaluation from the weekend go hand-in-hand with what Josh Heupel is looking to get out of his Tennessee offense. The Vols’ unit operated best under Hendon Hooker when the deep pass was able to complement the run game and screen game, something that looks to be one of Brandon’s strengths at the position.

Brandon, the Vols’ lone five-star commit in the 2026 class, headlines the Vols’ eight-man class so far. Brandon’s commitment to Tennessee has also attracted other solid offensive talent to Knoxville with commitments from wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, and offensive linemen Brandon Anderson and Gabriel Osenda.
