NFL Vols: How Former Tennessee Players Performed in Week 14 of the NFL Season

Each week Rocky Top Insider will recap the performances of former Tennessee Volunteers in the NFL.

Below is a comprehensive list of week 14’s  VFLs in the NFL, including statistics and observations.

Matthew Butler – Las Vegas Raiders – DT

Butler played only four snaps in the Raider’s 28-13 loss to the Buccaneers

Marquez Callaway – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – WR

Callaway was active but did not log a snap in the Buccaneer’s win.

Morgan Cox – Tennessee Titans – LS

Cox snapped the ball five times in the Titans loss to the Jaguars.

Joshua Dobbs – San Francisco 49ers – QB

Dobbs did not see the field in the 49ers 38-13 win over the Chicago Bears.

Princeton Fant – Dallas Cowboys – TE

Fant made one tackle for the Cowboys in their loss to the Bengals on Monday Night Football.

Hendon Hooker – Detroit Lions – QB

Hooker did not see the field in Detroit’s Thursday Night Football victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Jalin Hyatt – New York Giants – WR

Hyatt played 18 snaps and had two targets, but did not end the Giant’s loss to the Saints with a catch.

Theo Jackson – Minnesota Vikings – DB

Jackson had one pass breakup and two tackles as the Vikings defeated the Atlanta Falcons.

Jauan Jennings – San Francisco 49ers – WR

Jennings was again dominant with seven catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns.

Alvin Kamara – New Orleans Saints – RB

Kamara had 17 carries for 44 yards, as well as five receptions for 35 yards. The Saints defeated the Giants 14-11.

Ramel Keyton – Las Vegas Raiders – WR

Keaton participated in four snaps for the special teams unit and made one tackle.

Cade Mays – Carolina Panthers – OL

Mays started in the Panther’s loss to the Eagles, playing 71 snaps.

Jaylen McCollough – Los Angeles Rams – DB

McCollough made two tackles as the Rams beat the Bills 44-42 in an offensive shootout.

Josh Palmer – Los Angeles Chargers – WR

Palmer notched his season high in receptions and yards with seven receptions for 78 yards.

Cordarrelle Patterson – Pittsburgh Steelers – RB

Patterson played 12 snaps for the Steelers but did not register a carry or catch.

Jalen Reeves-Maybin – Detroit Lions – LB

Reeves-Maybin did not play in the Lion’s win over the Packers.

Trey Smith – Kansas City Chiefs – OL

Smith played 71 total snaps, as the Chiefs beat the Chargers 19-17. The victory for the Chiefs clinched the AFC West division title. 

Alontae Taylor – New Orleans Saints – CB

Taylor finished the Saints win with three tackles and one pass breakup. 

Darrell Taylor – Chicago Bears – OLB

Taylor had two tackles in the Bear’s loss to the 49ers

Shy Tuttle – Carolina Panthers – DL

Tuttle had one pass breakup as the Panther’s upset bid over the Eagles fell short, as Carolina lost 22-16.

Darnell Wright – Chicago Bears – OL

Wright logged 50 snaps in the Bears loss. 

Jaylen Wright – Miami Dolphins – RB

Wright had two carries and two receptions, for seven rushing yards and six receiving yards.

Byron Young – Los Angeles Rams – OLB

Young had four tackles in the Rams win.

Joe Milton III – New England Patriots – QB

Gabe Jeudy-Lally – Tennessee Titans – DB
