Tennessee has caught a few good clips of head coach Josh Heupel speaking to the team after big wins this season.
Saturday’s trip to Nashville is on that list.
After Tennessee handed in-state rival Vanderbilt a 36-23 loss on Saturday to close out the regular season, the Vols’ social media team posted a clip of Heupel speaking to the team in the locker room about what’s next for them.
Heupel and the staff have usually been pretty hesitant to address the playoffs through the season. But now that it’s here? Full steam ahead.
The clip below was obviously a speech given to the players but there’s no doubt it’ll hype up the fanbase as well. That’s why Tennessee posted it, after all.

More from RTI: Will Tennessee Football Host A CFP Game? How Rivalry Week Results Affect The Vols
Tennessee’s win over Vanderbilt clinched a spot in the playoffs for the 10-2 Volunteers. We’ll still need to wait through conference championship weekend to see where exactly the Vols will land in the playoff bracket, but there’s no doubt that Tennessee is in.
Since arriving at Tennessee, Heupel has had a consistent message of one game at a time. It’s why Tennessee rarely talks about future opponents or hypothetical situations throughout the season. But things have changed, now. Tennessee’s next game will be a playoff game, so it’s full steam ahead for Heupel and the Volunteers.
