Chaos across the Southeastern Conference and college football as a whole last Saturday helped improve Tennessee football’s chances to make the expanded 12-team CFP this season.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Tennessee is now -500 to make the College Football Playoff +340 to miss the playoffs. DraftKings has taken the betting odds off the board for a number of top teams to make the playoffs including Georgia, Texas, Ohio State and Oregon.
Of the teams who are still on the board, only Indiana (-2000) and Notre Dame (-650) have better odds to make the playoffs than Tennessee. The Vols have pulled way ahead of SEC foes Alabama (+180) and Ole Miss (+360) in odds to make the playoffs.

More From RTI: Scouting The Vanderbilt Commodores
Tennessee enters its regular season finale at Vanderbilt boasting a 9-2 (5-2 SEC) record and just has to take care of business against the Commodores to make the playoffs. The Vols are currently 11-point favorites against Vanderbilt according to DraftKings.
Vanderbilt (6-5, 3-4 SEC) is much improved this season but has lost each of its last two games ahead of the regular season finale.
What seed Tennessee would be if they do make the playoffs is still very up in the air. The Vols still need a number of outcomes to break their way before they could potentially host a first round matchup.
Kickoff between Tennessee and Vanderbilt is at noon ET on Saturday afternoon in Nashville. Dave Pasch, Dusty Dvoracek and Taylor McGreggor are on the call for ABC.
