No. 11 Tennessee shut out UTEP by a score of 56-0 on Saturday afternoon as the Vols celebrated Senior Day before and throughout the game.
While Tennessee got off to a bit of a slow start offensively in the first quarter, the Vols fired off four second-quarter touchdowns en route to their 56-0 dominant win over the Miners on Saturday.
Tennessee handled its business on Saturday and got the help it was looking for out of Florida and Ohio State beating Ole Miss and Indiana, respectively. The Vols now likely control their own destiny with just one game to go on the regular season slate.
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel led off the postgame press conference as he met with the media for a little less than 10 minutes. Heupel spoke about his thoughts on the game, what this particular senior class means to him, what Tennessee has to do next week despite how the playoff picture looks, and much more.
The Vols also had five players speak to the media on Saturday with Nico Iamaleava, Bru McCoy, and Cooper Mays in the first group and Jalen Smith and Jermod McCoy in the second.
