Five-star Tennessee commit David Sanders is visiting Ohio State this weekend for the Buckeyes top five matchup against Indiana, On3’s Pete Nakos first reported on Saturday morning.
Sanders is the highest ranked Tennessee commit in the 2025 recruiting cycle and committed to the Vols over a top group including Ohio State and Nebraska back in August.
The Charlotte native ranks as a five-star recruit and the No. 5 player in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings. Sanders also ranks as the top offensive tackle and the top player in the state of Tennessee in the 2025 cycle.

Ohio State finished runner up for Sanders back in August after he took a number of visits to both Columbus and Knoxville earlier in 2024 as well as summer official visits. Sanders has been back to a number of Tennessee games this fall including the win over NC State and Charlotte and the win over Alabama back in October.
Tennessee’s offensive line recruiting class that once looked fantastic is now in danger. Top 100 recruit Douglas Utu flipped from the Vols to Oregon back back in late September after originally committing to Tennessee back in June.
The Vols’ offensive line recruiting class currently includes Sanders, four-star guard Nic Moore and three-star offensive tackle Antoni Kade Ogumoro.
Tennessee’s recruiting class contains 24 total commitments and ranks No. 7 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings. Losing Sanders would drop Tennessee’s recruiting class to No. 11 nationally.
