Tennessee Football Announces Uniforms For Mississippi State Game

Tennessee football is wearing its traditional uniforms with white helmets, orange jerseys and white pants for Saturday night’s matchup against Mississippi State at Neyland Stadium, the Vols announced on X Thursday morning.

With Saturday being Tennessee’s homecoming game, Tennessee is bringing back its Summitt Blue accessories to honor legendary Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt. The Vols have worn the accessories on homecoming for each of the last two years.

It’s the third time that Tennessee has worn its classic home uniforms this season after previously wearing them in victories over Florida and Alabama.

So far this season, the Vols are 1-0 in their smokey grey uniforms, 2-0 in there all white stormtrooper uniforms, 2-0 in their classic home uniforms, 1-0 in their “dark mode” uniforms, 1-0 in its white helmets, orange jerseys and orange pants combination and 0-1 in its white jerseys and orange pants.

Mississippi State has yet to announced its uniforms for the week 11 matchup in Knoxville. The Bulldogs have a handful of different uniform combinations that they wear on the road.

The Bulldogs are in the midst of a bad first season under head coach Jeff Lebby. Mississippi State enters the matchup at Tennessee 2-7 (0-5 SEC) and are still looking for its first SEC win of the season. Despite a terrible record and putrid defense, Mississippi State’s offense has had real improvements over the last month of the season.

Tennessee is 7-1 (4-1 SEC) entering the matchup and remains in the thick of the College Football Playoff race entering the final four weeks of the regular season. The Vols face Mississippi State the week before heading to Athens for a critical SEC showdown at Georgia.

Kickoff between Tennessee and Mississippi State is at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday night. Dave Pasch, Dusty Dvoracek and Taylor McGregor are on the call for ESPN.
