S Jack Luttrell – Arizona
Luttrell had 14 tackles, 12 of them being solo tackles, in Arizona’s 56-12 loss to UCF. The former Tennessee defensive back also downed a punt on the one-yard line on the special teams unit. Luttrell did not see much of the field for the defense early in the season but has played significant snaps the past three weeks.
S Tamarion McDonald – Louisville
McDonald had four tackles in Louisville’s upset road victory over Clemson, beating the Tigers 33-21.
OL Addison Nichols – Arkansas
Nichols remains the starting center for Arkansas. The Razorbacks lost to Ole Miss 63-31. The Ole Miss defense got after Arkansas quarterbacks Taylen Green and Malachi Singleton, as they had eight sacks. The Rebels defense also had 13 tackles for loss.
CB De’Shawn Rucker – South Florida
Rucker had three solo tackles in South Florida’s 44-21 win over Florida Atlantic. Former Tennessee offensive coordinator and current head coach of South Florida Alex Golesh brushed off FAU coach Tom Herman after Herman was upset with Golesh, likely because of a two-point conversion while up 23 points late in the game.
