A major reason for the line change over the course of the week is Kentucky releasing its injury reports. While Tennessee is healthy coming out of its second open date of the season, the Wildcats have a number of players injured including a couple starters.
Tennessee is 5-2 against the spread so far this season and 2-2 against the spread in SEC play. The Vols covered as favorites in wins over Chattanooga, NC State, Kent State and Oklahoma while failing to cover in their loss at Arkansas and win over Florida. Tennessee also covered in its lone game as an underdog this season, beating Alabama straight up.

The over has hit in three Tennessee games this season while the under has hit in four games. The under has hit in all four of Tennessee’s SEC games to this point in the season.
Kentucky is 4-4 against the spread this season and is 2-0 against the spread as underdogs. The Wildcats are also 1-1 against the spread away from home. The over has hit in just two Kentucky games this season while the under has hit in six games.
Tennessee is 6-1 (3-1 SEC) heading into the home stretch of the season as they remain in the thick of the College Football Playoff race. The Vols have half of their conference schedule remaining including home games against Kentucky and Mississippi State as well as road trips to Georgia and Vanderbilt.
Kentucky (3-4, 1-4 SEC) has no College Football Playoff hopes but needs a win over Tennessee to help salvage a disappointing season and to improve its hopes of making it to a bowl game. The Wildcats are losers of three straight games including a disappointing home loss against Auburn last week.
Kickoff between Tennessee and Kentucky is at 7:45 p.m. ET at Neyland Stadium on Saturday night. Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic are on the call for the SEC Network.
