Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes and senior guard Zakai Zeigler met with the media on Thursday afternoon as the Vols prepare for the season-opening contest against Gardner-Webb on Monday night in the Food City Center.
The Vols were in the Food City Center last weekend in a losing effort against No. 17 Indiana, 66-62, but will look to start their season off on the right note on Monday.
Barnes met with the media first on Thursday as the veteran Tennessee coach gave his thoughts on improvements coming out of the Indiana game, what he’s expecting against Gardner-Webb, Chaz Lanier’s first exhibition game, Felix Okpara’s offensive output, and much more.
