Tennessee football is back in SEC play this week as they’ll host rival Kentucky at Neyland Stadium in a Saturday night matchup. With the Vols preparing for a conference bout, that means there’s another week of full availability reports ahead of the game.
The availability report is new this season and is effectively an injury report that each team releases every night up until kickoff. The final availability report comes out 90 minutes before kickoff on game day.
With that, let’s take a look at the Tennessee-Kentucky Wednesday availability report including some notes on the report for both teams.

Kentucky Notes
As is pretty obvious, Kentucky is extremely banged up entering its trip to Tennessee. The most obvious note is that former Tennessee offensive tackle Gerald Mincey is out in his return to Neyland Stadium. Mincey suffered an injury two weeks ago against Florida and missed last week’s game against Auburn.
Weaver suffered an injury last week against Auburn and this will be the first game he misses all season. He’s Kentucky’s top pass rusher, leading the Wildcats with five sacks this season. D’Eryk Jackson starts at inside linebacker for Kentucky and has yet to miss a game this season.
DJ Waller is a rotational linebacker for Kentucky who has been in-and-out of the lineup this season but played last week against Auburn. Deone Walker is Kentucky’s best defensive player. Losing him would be a major major blow.
Sumo-Karngbaye is Kentucky’s top running back and like Mincey he missed last week’s game against Auburn. Whether he can go will be a big deal for a struggling Wildcats offense.
