VFL Byron Young directly helped teammate and VFL Jaylen McCollough record a heads-up pick-six on Sunday afternoon against the Packers.

You truly couldn’t have drawn up a more Tennessee-centric play in this game.

With Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love rolling to his right to escape trouble in his own endzone, Young came screaming around the corner chasing down the quarterback. Young got to Love and popped him in the endzone as the Green Bay quarterback just slung the ball out of pressure.

McCollough, in coverage on the goal line, took the errant throw and dashed four yards into the endzone while being tackled.

McCollough’s pick-six would come with two minutes remaining in the second quarter to put Los Angeles up 13-7, but the Packers would rally in the second half to end up winning the game 24-19.

Young finished the game with four tackles including one tackle for loss while McCollough tallied the Rams’ lone turnover of the contest.

In his second year in the NFL, Young has recorded nine solo tackles, two sacks, and has forced one fumble through the Rams’ first five games. McCollough has three tackles to go along with his pick-six through the first five games of his rookie season.
