Tennessee football resumes conference play on Saturday night when the Vols face Arkansas in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks have had an up-and-down start to the season with a win at Auburn and narrow losses against Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.

As of Friday morning, the Vols are 14-point favorites over the Razorbacks according to the DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 57.5. The game line has mostly stayed the same this week with it dropping slightly under 14 points before moving back up. The over/under opened at 56.5 before slightly moving up.

The over/under was also 57.5 points for Tennessee football’s matchup at Oklahoma two weeks ago. That was the first time all season that the under hit in a Tennessee game as they earned a 25-15 win.

The Vols are not only off to a 4-0 start to the season but are also 4-0 against the spread so far this season. After Tennessee covered the spread by a sizable amount in wins over Chattanooga, NC State and Kent State, they covered the spread by 4.5-point in its win at Oklahoma. The over has hit in three of Tennessee games this season while the under has hit just once.

Arkansas is currently 3-2 this season with wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, UAB and Auburn as well as narrow losses at Oklahoma State (overtime) and against Texas A&M in Dallas. In those five games, Arkansas is 4-1 against the spread and 2-0 against the spread in the SEC games. The over has hit in three Arkansas games this season while the under has hit twice.

The Razorbacks and head coach Sam Pittman badly need a statement win over Tennessee. Arkansas’ head coach is on the hot seat and two narrow losses this season aren’t doing him any favors. An upset win over a top five Tennessee team would provide a much needed boost to his job security. Arkansas last top five victory came over No. 3 Tennessee in 1999.

Tennessee has lost three straight games against Arkansas dating back to the Vols 34-13 win in Knoxville back in 2017. The Vols lost in Fayetteville during the COVID-19 impacted 2020 season and in 2011 and at Neyland Stadium during the 2015 season.

Kickoff at D.W. Reylonds Razorback Stadium is at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe are on the call for ABC.
