Tennessee tight end commit Da’Saahn Brame recorded a 60-yard punt return touchdown on Friday night during Derby High School’s whopping 77-0 win over Haysville Campus on Friday night.

Brame also recorded a 20-yard touchdown reception during the contest.

Both of Brame’s touchdowns came in the first half of a contest that might be a preview to Tennessee’s game against Kent State on Saturday in Knoxville. Derby’s starters blitzed the Colts to a score of 69-0 at halftime before the Panthers called off the shots in the second half.

Brame recorded his 60-yard return touchdown with 11 minutes remaining in the second quarter.

Brame originally committed to Oregon on June 29 but Tennessee and tight ends coach Alex Abeln held firm in their pursuit of the talented prospect. In the midst of a hot recruiting stretch over the summer, Brame flipped his commitment to Tennessee on July 28. Brame is one of 24 commits in Tennessee’s 2025 class, which currently holds the No. 7 national ranking according to 247’s team rankings.

Brame ranks as a four-star prospect, the No. 97 player in the class, the No. 4 tight end, and the No. 3 player from Kansas according to 247 Composite.

It’s got to be a good time to be Da’Saahn Brame right now. In addition to his senior season success at the high school level, Brame is also watching as Tennessee boasts one of the most effective tight end rooms in the country this season. The Vols have a three-man rotation with their tight ends and have seen all three reach the endzone with a receiving touchdown in the first two weeks. Tennessee even pulled out a two-tight end set for the majority of the game against NC State because of the advantage it gave.

Tennessee’s tight end room will be back in action on Saturday night as the Vols host Kent State at 7:45 p.m. ET in Neyland Stadium.
