Iamaleava’s 314 passing yards is a new Vol Football first-half record, according to Tennessee on Saturday afternoon. Quarterback Tyler Bray previously held the record with 313 first-half yards against Troy during the 2012 season.

Iamaleava ended the first half with 314 yards and three touchdowns on 22-of-28 passing.

The second-year quarterback found Ethan Davis in the front of the endzone for his first passing touchdown before reeling off two passing scores to wide receiver Dont’e Thornton.

Tennessee picked up three touchdowns in each of the first two quarters to go up on Chattanooga 45-0 during the halftime intermission. Iamaleava was responsible for three of those touchdowns, with the other three recorded by running back Dylan Sampson on the ground.

Nico Iamaleava’s day was done after two quarters as Tennessee built a massive 45-point lead heading into halftime. Tennessee senior quarterback Gaston Moore took over for Iamaleava in the second half.
