Tennessee football stayed red-hot on the recruiting trail on Sunday afternoon. Four-star linebacker Jaedon Harmon flipped his commitment from Alabama to Tennessee after spending four months committed to the Crimson Tide.

Harmon ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 155 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound prospect ranks as the No. 18 linebacker and the No. 19 player in the state of Georgia in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

A Rome, Georgia native, Harmon plays his high school football at Rome High School. Harmon is now the seventh commit from the state of Georgia in Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class.

Harmon visited Tennessee once in 2024, back in March before he committed to Alabama one month later. The blue-chip recruit also took a visit to Ohio State back in March. After committing to the Crimson Tide back in April, Harmon only took visits to Alabama including an official visit back in June.

But Tennessee and inside linebackers coach William Inge never stopped recruiting Harmon. The Vols were also attempting to flip Georgia linebacker commit Jaedon Perlotte but when he flipped to Southern Cal instead, Tennessee turned up the pressure on Harmon.

That pressure proved successful on Sunday afternoon when Harmon officially flipped from Alabama to Tennessee. Harmon’s commitment continues a stellar weekend for Tennessee on the recruiting trail. The Vols landed their top target in the 2025 recruiting cycle on Saturday when five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. committed to the Vols.

Harmon becomes Tennessee’s second inside linebacker commit in the 2025 recruiting cycle along with fellow four-star Georgia linebacker Christian Gass.

Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class now contains 23 players and ranks No. 6 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
