Four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny will announce his college commitment on Aug. 23, he told On3 Chad Simmons. Konanbanny is deciding between a top group that includes Florida State and Tennessee.

Konanbanny ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 299 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Columbia native ranks as the No. 29 cornerback in the 2025 recruiting cycle and the No. 4 player in the state of South Carolina.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound cornerback has been a frequent visitor on Tennessee’s campus over the course of his recruitment. He’s taken five total visits including three since May. Konanbanny took an unofficial visit in May and June before taking another official visit later in June.

Josh Heupel and his staff are red-hot on the recruiting trail this summer. A handful of  Tennessee’s top targets are announcing commitments in August including five-star offensive tackles Josh Petty and David Sanders.

The Vols’ 21-commit 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 7 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
