Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello, left-handed pitcher Zander Sechrist and first baseman Blake Burke met with the media following the Vols’ 7-2 win over Florida State in the College World Series semifinals Wednesday.
The trio shared their thoughts on clinching a spot in the College World Series and more. Specifically, Vitello talked Kavares Tears’ circus catch in centerfield, when he knew Zander Sechrist could succeed in a big-game setting and how Tennessee was able to get out of a wild third inning.
Burke and Sechrist also talked the third inning, and Burke walked the media through his home run that set an NCAA record.
