While longtime history might not be on Tennessee’s side as the No. 1 overall seed, recent in-season history against the remaining teams in the College World Series remains an open and optimistic line for Vol fans eager to see a National Championship by the end of the weekend.
As Driving The Line’s Allan Bell pointed out on X on Monday, Tennessee has played every team left in the CWS and has at least one victory against each of them. More than that, though, Tennessee has a combined 7-2 record against the remaining teams in the tournament.

North Carolina and Florida State will square off in an elimination game on Tuesday afternoon, as will Kentucky and Florida on Tuesday night.
