One swing of the bat and Tennessee earned themselves a hard-fought comeback victory.
Down by four runs heading into the bottom of the eighth and three runs going into the bottom of the ninth, Tennessee put together a four-run bottom of the ninth inning to complete the comeback over Florida State and earn the victory in their opening College World Series game.
Dylan Dreiling’s RBI single in the eighth inning scored Blake Burke to cut the Seminoles lead to 11-8. Tennessee scored a run from a Dean Curley sacrifice fly in the ninth to make it 11-9 before a Blake Burke single to the center scored two to tie the game with two outs.
Dreiling then stepped up and delivered a shot to the gap, scoring Blake Burke for the walk-off run.
The Vols earned the 12-11 win over the Seminoles on Friday night and will look to keep the momentum going on Sunday night against North Carolina.

Has Tennessee ever had a greater baseball win? Dylan Dreiling drills walk-off double in bottom of 9th after Blake Burke tied game with 2-run single as Vols prevail 12-11 over Florida State in UT first game of CWS. UT scored 4 runs in bottom of 9th as last 4 hits came with 2 outs.

Tennessee entered the bottom of the 9th trailing by 3, and just had the second walk-off of the day. CWS off to an insane start.
