Tennessee baseball has one more weekend of games at Lindsey Nelson Stadium this season as they prepare to host Evansville in the Knoxville Super Regional.

In the past, the Vols have done a watch party outside of Lindsey Nelson Stadium for fans unable to make it inside of the stadium for the game. One fan asked Danny White if the athletic department would run it back this weekend on X. Tennessee’s Director of Athletic responded by saying that they wouldn’t be able to do the watch party due to construction on campus.

When Tennessee baseball has hosted a watch party in the past, they’ve done it on Pat Head Summitt Street which runs parallel to the left field line at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. But that stretch of road is currently closed due to ongoing construction on the Haslam Practice Field and Anderson Training Center across the street.

Construction is a constant both on and around Tennessee’s campus at the moment. Part of Phillip Fulmer Way in front of Neyland Stadium is closed due to stadium construction.

More From RTI: Scouting The Evansville Purple Aces Ahead Of The Super Regional

Tennessee is back in the super regionals for the fourth straight season after sweeping through the Knoxville Regional last weekend. The Vols outscored Northern Kentucky, Indiana and Southern Miss 33-12 over the course of the weekend.

A victory over Evansville would send Tennessee back to the College World Series for the third time in four seasons. The Vols made it to Omaha in 2021 and 2023 while falling to Notre Dame in three games in the 2022 super regional.

Evansville is the Cinderella story of the NCAA Tournament to date. A four-seed, the Purple Aces won the Greenville Regional by winning two out of three games against East Carolina.

First pitch for game one of the weekend series is at 3 p.m. ET on Friday. ESPN2 is broadcasting the series opener.
