WATCH: Tennessee’s Tony Vitello Previews 2024 SEC Tournament

Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello spoke to the media in Knoxville on Monday afternoon before the start of the SEC Tournament this week in Hoover, AL.

While the tournament officially begins for eight teams on Tuesday, Vitello’s Vols earned the one-seed in the tournament and will wait until Wednesday evening for their first game at the Hoover Met.

No. 1 Tennessee will take on the winner of No. 8 Vanderbilt and No. 9 Florida on Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Before the Vols hit the road for the conference tournament down south, Vitello met with the media inside the Vols’ baseball complex on Monday afternoon. Vitello spoke about Tennessee’s pitching situation, the grind that the tournament presents, Dylan Dreiling’s underrated role with the team, expectations for tournament play, and much more.
