Former Vols quarterback Joe Milton was drafted by the Patriots, and 1,000-yard rusher Jaylen Wright was picked by the Dolphins.

Like the Vols, NC State finished 9-4 last season and was 21st in the final AP poll. The Wolfpack were downed by Kansas State in the Pop Tarts Bowl. Also like the Vols, they have a tune-up on Labor Day weekend taking on Western Carolina.

The Wolfpack were active in the transfer portal, bringing in former Coastal Carolina star Grayson McCall at quarterback. McCall threw for over 10,000 yards and 88 touchdowns in his career at Coastal Carolina.
