In front of a home opener record-setting crowd on Tuesday afternoon in Knoxville, Tennessee earned a narrow 3-2 victory over UNC Asheville for their third win of the season in four games.
Tennessee’s 4,699 spectators in attendance set the program home opener record as the Vols were able to boast hundreds more seats along the third base line and the first base line with several offseason renovations.
Tennessee wore their traditional orange-and-white home uniform on Tuesday, with an orange jersey featuring a large Vols script across the chest, white block numbers on the back in Tennessee-specific font, no name plates, an orange hat with a large white Power T, and solid white pants. The color of the shoes depended on the specific player.
