Tennessee received some good news from the recruiting trail on Sunday afternoon.
Jack Van Dorselaer, a four-star tight end from the class of 2025, committed to Tennessee through a social media post on Sunday.
Van Dorselaer is the fifth commit in Tennessee’s 2025 class and is the highest-ranked of the five commits.
“Committed to The University of Tennessee!” Van Dorselaer wrote on social media while tagging head coach Josh Heupel and tight ends coach Alec Abeln.

Van Dorselaer is rated as a four-star tight end according to On3, 247 Sports, Rivals, and ESPN. The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder is from Southlake, Texas, and plays his high school ball for Southlake Carroll High School. Van Dorselaer helped Southlake Carroll achieve a 13-2 record with a Texas 6A D2 semi-final appearance in the playoffs.
Van Dorselaer is rated as the No. 11 tight end in the class, the No. 42 player from the state of Texas, and the No. 251 player in the nation according to 247 Sports’ Composite rankings.
Van Dorselaer took three unofficial visits during the 2023 college football season, visiting Tennessee on Sept. 30 for the South Carolina game, Texas on Oct. 28, and Southern California on Nov. 4. The 6-foot-4 tight end also held offers from Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Miami, Colorado, Texas, and USC.
