Tennessee football running back Jaylen Wright’s incredible 2023 regular season continued Saturday, as he reached a milestone against Vanderbilt.
Wright entered the game needing only 62 yards to reach 1,000 yards, and he hit in the third quarter with a 14-yard run on Tennessee’s first offensive play of the second half.

Wright becomes the 18th Tennessee running back to rush for 1,000 yards in a season and the first to do so in eight years, as Jalen Hurd last did it in 2015.
Additionally, Wright’s season marks the 19th time a Tennessee running back has rushed for over 1,000 yards.
