What do Michael Jordan and Josh Dobbs have in common?

The shrug.

The former Tennessee-turned-Minnesota Vikings quarterback showed his swagger and confidence by hitting the Jordan Shrug after scrambling for a seven-yard touchdown in the second quarter on Sunday afternoon. Dobbs scrambled around VFL Alontae Taylor on the play.

In his first official start with the Vikings on Sunday, Dobbs led the Minnesota Vikings (6-4) to a win over Taylor, Alvin Kamara, and the New Orleans Saints (5-5) on Sunday afternoon in Minnesota.

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell continues to show trust in Dobbs’ passing ability. Dobbs ended the game with 23-of-34 passing, 268 yards through the air, and one passing touchdown. The former Vol also added in eight rushing attempts for 44 yards and one score on the ground.

Dobbs’ star is continuing to rise after a second straight win for the Vikings. The former Arizona Cardinal was the talk of the football world last weekend after leading Minnesota to a win over Atlanta only a handful of days after being traded to the Vikings.

Dobbs found a ton of success with tight end T.J. Hockenson on Sunday. Hockenson racked up 134 yards and a touchdown on 11 receptions from Dobbs against the Saints.

Former Tennessee defensive back Alontae Taylor had five total tackles and one tackle for loss against Dobbs and the Minnesota offense on Sunday.

Kamara, on the other hand, had nine carries for 42 yards and seven receptions for 33 yards. Minnesota running back Ty Chandler also found the endzone on Sunday along with 45 yards on 15 carries. Chandler played his first four years at Tennessee before transferring to North Carolina for his fifth and final year in 2021.

Here’s another highlight because that’s what you came to see.

Dobbs began the game with a pass completion to Jordan Addison and then found the rookie receiver a few minutes later in spectacular fashion.

The NFL Twitter account is all over “The Passtronaut” after two straight wins with the Vikings.

What’s funny about the Astronaut picture that ESPN used?

As Twitter user Austin points out, it didn’t even need Photoshop.

Josh Dobbs and the Minnesota Vikings are alive and well in the NFC North race, two games behind the Lions but with both games against Detroit remaining on the schedule. Three of the six teams left that Minnesota faces in the final seven games are under .500 in the win-loss column this year.

Dobbs and the Vikings will travel to Denver this weekend for Sunday night football against the Broncos.
